Hello, I’m Emily!

Hello, I’m an experienced English teacher with a passion for helping students achieve their very best. I’ve taught across KS3, GCSE, and A-Level, with a strong record of success supporting learners of all abilities.

I design bespoke lessons tailored to each student’s needs — whether that’s building confidence, improving exam skills, or stretching towards top grades. I truly love teaching and take pride in seeing students grow in confidence and enjoyment of English.

If you’re looking for an approachable and experienced tutor who will help your child reach their full potential, I’d be delighted to support them.

By Steffi Hesketh Tutoring

Hello, I’m Vikki!

I’m an experienced teacher with over nine years of professional experience — and someone who genuinely loves helping learners surprise themselves with what they can achieve.

Alongside my part-time tutoring, I teach GCSE English Language and Functional Skills English at a military preparation academy.

My lessons are relaxed, engaging, and tailored to each learner — whether we’re building exam skills, filling knowledge gaps, or turning “I can’t do this” into “I actually get this now!” I focus on making each session clear, supportive, and productive so learners feel genuinely capable and prepared.

Outside of teaching, I’m a huge animal lover and have a gorgeous Golden Retriever called Finn!

Parent feedback:

“Vikki is amazing!!! Before Vikki started tutoring my son he would have a meltdown if I even mentioned the word English. But now he’s started to write stories, scripts and enjoys reading. Vikki boosted his confidence and explains things in a way he understands with no pressure. B comes off his lessons with a huge smile on his face and can’t wait to tell me what he’s learnt. Vikki has ignited his passion for English.”

Hello, I’m Camilla!

I have over 28 years of experience teaching KS3, GCSE and A-Level English & Drama both in the UK and internationally.

I believe in calm, confidence-building tuition that empowers every student to reach their full potential. I firmly believe that every student can achieve their very best if they are determined, and I see my role as a facilitator.

As an English & Drama specialist, I am an expert at helping students develop strong communication skills which are essential for their way forward in this world.

Parent feedback:

“I couldn’t be happier with the progress he’s made. Camilla’s lessons are always well planned, structured, and genuinely engaging — as my son has A.D.D. and struggles to stay focused. She manages to keep him interested throughout and his confidence and skills in English have improved immensely. I’m very grateful for her hard work and would highly recommend her to any parent looking for a supportive and effective English tutor.”

Shim.png

Science Tutor – Shim

By Steffi Hesketh Tutoring

Hello, I’m Shim!

I am a qualified Secondary and Primary science teacher. I have 10 years’ experience teaching in all 3 branches of science and have a keen interest in making science as applicable to the lives of students as possible.

I am passionate, patient, open minded and have a sense of humour.

My sessions are quite relaxed yet structured, sessions are centred around the students and I am able to adapt to the needs of the child. If you need a tutor that is empathetic yet supportive then I am definitely the tutor your child needs.

Parent feedback:

“I was originally requested Shim to tutor physics due to reading feedback from another parent with a young person with additional requirements. My daughter has autism, ADHD and other mental health challenges and therefore it was imperative to get the right tutor.

Shim has been amazing, she has worked and adapted the way she taught my daughter to suit Keira’s needs. Originally teaching her physics, this was then changed to combined sciences. Shim was patient and inspirational to my daughter. But more significantly Keira attained a 6,6 which was far higher than she was predicted. Thank you so much.”
